In today’s article, I find myself in a unique headspace. I feel compelled to share something weighing on my heart for the past four days. I want to tell you guys the true story of a mysterious suicide case of my classmate.
SCHOOL CLASSEMATES
Classmates from school always hold a special place in your heart. Their familiar faces and shared experiences create a bond that withstands the test of time. The memories of laughter in the classroom, late-night study sessions, and inside jokes forged during recess linger on, making them more than acquaintances. Classmates from school often become lifelong friends, offering support, understanding, and companionship through life’s many twists and turns. Whether near or far, the connection remains strong, a testament to the lasting impact of those formative years spent together.
BUSHRA’S BACKSTORY
Bushra was my classmate until the 8th grade. She was a very innocent and quiet girl who never spoke up in front of her classmates. Essentially, she was an introvert.
At 29 years old, she had lost both of her parents a few years ago and had only one sister named Zohra. A year ago, she married someone chosen by her sister, Zohra. Zohra orchestrated Bushra’s marriage with a significant dowry. At the same time, Zohra resided in her parents’ home with her husband and children. Bushra moved to a nearby village after her marriage. She used to compliment Bushra’s in-laws in public frequently. On that particular day, she visited my mother in the morning and mentioned how happy Bushra was with her husband.
BUSHRA’S DEATHDAY
According to reports, Bushra and her husband visited her parents’ house (where Zohra resides with her family). They spent the day and night there before departing the next morning. Upon returning home, Bushra ingested poisonous tablets and began vomiting. Her husband contacted Zohra, and together they rushed her to the hospital. According to Zohra’s statement, she inquired why she took her own life. The response was that ”it was done out of a personal desire,” a reasoning that is difficult for me to comprehend. She also gave the same statement to the police.
She died in the hospital. Zohra refused a post-mortem on the spot. Bushra was buried in her husband’s village graveyard. Zohra never asked to take her dead body to her own house and bury her with her parents.
Zohra still maintains that Bushra’s in-laws are not responsible for her death. Her death is turned out as a mysterious suicide case for all of the villagers..
THE MYSTERY
What transpired that night when Bushra left and tragically ended her life immediately? Why didn’t Zohra take any steps against Bushra’s in-laws despite their previous kindness towards her?
She tragically took her own life, and the motive remains unknown. Taking one’s own life is a profound act, indicating there must be significant reasons behind such a decision. As her in-laws would have likely pointed out, she appeared to be a regular person without any psychological problems. Could Zohra’s reluctance to include Bushra in the inheritance be the reason? The situation is filled with mystery and unresolved question. It might be nothing more than a mysterious suicide case, but it pinches me every night since that day because she i had a close interaction with her back then in school.
